Teacher Educators’ Professional Learning for Equity and Diversity: Needs, Supports, and Policy Implications

Objectives
  • Providing a platform for the sharing of realities in teaching for, and learning about, equity and diverstity in and across teacher education.
  • Strengthening connections with international and national networks and stakeholders to foster collaboration, training and knowledge exchange.
  • Disseminate findings from the ED-TED project, including the mapping and the cross-national competency framework, and gather feedback on their potential to support teacher educators’ professional development.

  • Validate and endorse the ED-TED Policy Brief, focusing on recommendations, implications, and prospects for enactment.

 
Learning outcomes
  • Critically examine diverse teaching and learning realities, and policies related to equity and diversity in teacher education through shared dialogue and reflection.
  • Identify equity and diversity transferable practices and common challenges across teacher education settings.
  • Collaborate with international and national networks to exchange knowledge, strengthen partnerships, and explore opportunities for joint capacity‑building.
