Learning Platform for Digital Inclusion

Learning Platform for Digital Inclusion

inklusiv.digital is a German initiative designed to provide open educational resources (OER) that support inclusive teaching and learning by using and engaging with digital tools. These resources are intended to strengthen the professional competencies of future teachers and practicing educators. By integrating digital media with inclusive pedagogy it aims to support them in working effectively with diverse learners in inclusive classrooms.

The platform operates as a modular resource hub, enabling collaboration across federal states and educational levels in Germany. Participating institutions contribute high-quality learning modules that cover topics such as Universal Design for Learning, digital tools for accessibility, and methods to foster participation among all students. Each module is designed for flexibility, allowing it to be used in seminars, blended learning formats, or independent study, giving teacher educators flexibility in how they integrate materials into their curricula. All content is published under open licenses to encourage reuse, adaptation, and flexible implementation in different teaching contexts.

Inklusiv.digital modules combine theory with hands-on exercises, guiding participants to connect inclusive concepts with classroom practice. Digital tools embedded in the platform allow learners to experiment with instructional planning, differentiation, and assessment strategies in realistic teaching scenarios. For example, the module on digital media in inclusive classrooms focuses on how digital tools can support participation and accessibility for diverse learners. It demonstrates how assistive technologies, adaptive software, and multimedia resources can be applied in classrooms to reduce barriers and make lessons more accessible. Participants analyze classroom scenarios and develop lesson ideas that combine digital media with inclusive pedagogical strategies.
