Multimedia Teaching Materials on Inclusive Education
The path²in platform is a digital learning environment developed at the University of Bremen to support students’ independent exploration of inclusive pedagogy. It organizes Open Educational Resources — including videos, podcasts, transcripts, and research data — into modular learning paths that cover essential topics such as educational foundations, diagnostics, teaching strategies, assessment practices, collaboration, and digitalization These resources are based on interviews with experts and researchers, ensuring that core principles of inclusive education are conveyed authentically. The materials are openly licensed and freely accessible, enabling wide use and adaptation. An introduction to the didactic concept explains how the resources can be integrated into a blended learning course.
The platform’s educational design centers on inquiry‑based learning, inviting students to engage actively with content by selecting topics that match their interests and questions. Learners are encouraged to analyze underlying research materials, reflect on different perspectives, and construct their own insights. The modular structure and multimedia presentation support a range of learning preferences, combining self‑paced study with opportunities for dialogue and collaborative activities in seminar settings.
An important goal of path²in is to make complex content on inclusive pedagogy accessible and meaningful across different study programs. While it particularly serves students in inclusive education courses, its resources are also designed to integrate into other teacher training modules — such as heterogeneity and didactics — fostering interdisciplinary familiarity with inclusive practices.
