Re:flex

Re:flex

In Flanders, a reflection tool was developed for pre-service teachers, teacher educators, and schools to foster new ways of thinking about ethnic diversity in the classroom. These self-guided tours are designed for groups of around four participants and take approximately 25 to 60 minutes to complete, providing step-by-step insights. The tool encourages critical reflection on your classroom and school practices, both individually and as a group.

It consists of five tours, Re:react, Re:judge, Re:commit, Re:frame, and Re:view, three of which include case cards to support deeper engagement. Re:react encourages critical awareness of your reactions, Re:judge highlights preconceptions, Re:commit focuses on changing priorities, Re:frame supports rethinking your conceptual framework, and Re:view prompts deeper reflection. The tool also provides practical tips for pre-service teachers, teacher educators, and schools.
