Antonio Calderón
Antonio Calderón is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Education and Sport Sciences at the University of Limerick and Course Director of the Professional Masters of Education (Physical Education). His main research focus aims to explore curriculum and digital pedagogies in (physical education) teacher education. He is a passionate teacher educator which is a research member of the first longitudinal study of teachers in Ireland: “Teachers’ Professional Journeys: The First Decade”. It involves research with three cohorts of graduates from initial teacher education, covering primary, post-primary and further education. One of his current projects is exploring coherence in teacher educators programmes. He is also the coordinator of the social justice research programme from the “UNESCO Chair on Physical Education and Sports Pedagogy for Sustainable Development” to the University of Limerick.
