Analysing the News
It can be explored in different contexts, serving as a professional development tool for teacher educators seeking to address these issues within teacher education programmes. For student teachers, it provides an opportunity to develop essential competences in understanding and promoting equity and diversity in educational settings. Primarily intended for teacher educators, student teachers, and in-service teachers, this resource was originally developed within the Portuguese context. However, it can be easily adapted to other settings by selecting news articles relevant to the specific country or region.
By engaging with “Analysing the News”, participants will strengthen their analytical skills, deepen their understanding of social justice issues in education, and develop effective strategies to foster inclusivity in their professional practice.
